History

The home was not present on the 1897 Atlas of Haverford, but is present on maps by 1908. The 1913 atlas does not list an owner for the property, although it would have, in theory, appeared on the 1910 census. The home is referenced in 1911 under an advertisement for a housekeeper.

1920 census: Grocer Tillman is living with his family.

William Achterman died in 1930, and Grace Risser passed away young in 1934 from Pneumonia. The home went on sale in October 1939 for $8,500, and was on sale at least until 1940. I cannot find the home in the 1940 or 1950 censuses.

The Woodwells lived in the home in 1962, and the Krauss family lived there in 1968, and sold to the Freibergers in 1983 for $71,000. The Freibergers sold the Ballantines in 1988 for $189,900, and they sold the home to the current owners in 1996 for $242,000.
